St. Andrews Blockhouse National Historic Site

1812 era British blockhouse in St Andrews

Admission is free to this National Historic Site, which is formally open June 1 to August 31 (if you want to see inside the blockhouse itself.) You can visit the site year-round, however, and enjoy the cannons, plaques, and views of the Bay of Fundy. The blockhouse is one of the few surviving British fortifications built during the War of 1812.
