  1. Climb to the top of Simpson Hill

This hiking trail is very popular for both locals and tourist because of the views. When you reach the top of the hill you are standing on the highest most accessible on the Canadian side of the St. Croix River. You can see everything from the Ganong Nature Park to The Bay Of Fundy. With so many views, you need to cross this off your bucket list!

2. Feed the Seals at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre

The seals are extremely friendly at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre and love to see new people. You have the opportunity to interact with Loki and Snorkel at 11am and 4pm every day see them eat yummy fish and watch them play! What a great experience for your vacation!

3. Visit the Chocolate Museum/Chocolatier

If you have a sweet tooth you will surely enjoy Ganong’s famous Chocolate Museum.  Not only do you get to learn about the “sweet” history, you can also watch the hand-dippers make the chocolates that will be sold in stores! To top it off, you can enjoy some delicious chocolate, chicken bones, and stock up on goodies at the Ganong Chocolatier to make your sweet trip last all the way home.

4. Rock Climb at McQuirk’s Mountain

McQuirk’s Mountain has several climbs for beginners to intermediate. Although this adventure can be physically demanding, it is known to be very peaceful. Locals from St. George have made this available and also built a small campsite for climbers! What a great way to spend a day!

5. Camp at the Hole-In-The-Wall Campground


The Hole-in-the-Wall campground in located in Grand Manan and has three categories including the cliff edge, the cliff top, and the entrance area. The campsite that makes this bucket list worthy is cliff edge, for tents only, because you are on the coast line! You are right above the feeding line for the whales and can hear them blow and breach right from your campsite! How cool is that?!

6. Participate in a Seascape Kayak Tour around Deer Island

With this tour you will have the opportunity to slow down and experience nature from a completely different perspective. While on the water you will experience the Bay of Fundy tides and possibly see porpoises, seals, bald eagles, and much more. What better way to see Deer Island and all is has to offer than from a kayak?

7. Visit the Roosevelt Campobello International Park

Franklin Roosevelt vacationed on Campobello Island since he was a young boy. Tour his famous summer home which has 34 rooms! Explore the numerous picnic areas, the stunning gardens, beautiful scenic trails, and much more. Another exciting opportunity is “Tea with Eleanor” which involves tea, cookies, and an hour talk from an expert guide about the life of Eleanor. This historical location is worth putting on your bucket list.
