A vacation bucket list will always add some excitement to your trip! With this Charlotte County Bucket List you can explore more of the county. Use this as a starting point for making your own list!

  1. Climb to the top of Simpson Hill

This hiking trail is very popular for both locals and tourist because of the spectacular views from the top. When you reach the top of the hill you are standing on the highest, most accessible point on the Canadian side of the St. Croix River. You can see everything from the Ganong Nature Park at Todd’s Point to the mouth of the St Croix River. Well worth the climb!

2. Seeking Science at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre

You may have visited the Huntsman Marine Science Centre Aquarium before, but you have to add their new Seeking Science adventure to your bucket list! Venture out aboard the Fundy Spray with biologists and examine sea life up close. What a great experience for your vacation!

3. Visit the Chocolate Museum/Chocolatier

If you have a sweet tooth you will surely enjoy Ganong’s famous Chocolate Museum.  Not only do you get to learn about the “sweet” history, you can also watch the hand-dippers make the chocolates that will be sold in stores! If you want to try your hand at chocolate dipping, you’ll have to come during the amazing Chocolate Festival each year in August. To top it off, you can enjoy some delicious chocolate, chicken bones, and stock up on goodies at the Ganong Chocolatier to make your sweet trip last all the way home.

4. Search for marine mammals on a Whale watching trip

You’ll have the opportunity to potentially see humpback, minke, fin, and North Atlantic right whales with knowledgable guides.  Whale watching tours depart daily from St. Andrews, but also from Grand Manan, Deer Island, and Campobello.

5. Camping on the Fundy Isles

The Hole-in-the-Wall campground in located in Grand Manan may be closing its cliffside sites, but there are other wonderful places to camp on the Fundy Isles. Try the Anchorage, with its sweeping beaches on Grand Manan, Deer Island Point Park with its views of the Old Sow Whirlpool, and Herring Cove Provincial Park on Campobello Island!

6. Participate in a Seascape Kayak Tour around Deer Island

With this tour you will have the opportunity to slow down and experience nature from a completely different perspective. While on the water, you will experience the Bay of Fundy tides and possibly see porpoises, seals, bald eagles, whales and much more. What better way to see Deer Island and all it has to offer than from a kayak?

7. Visit the Roosevelt Campobello International Park

Franklin Roosevelt vacationed on Campobello Island since he was a young boy. Tour his famous summer home which has 34 rooms! Explore the numerous picnic areas, the stunning gardens, beautiful scenic trails, and much more. Another exciting opportunity is Tea with Eleanor which involves tea, cookies, and a fascinating talk from an expert guide about the life of Eleanor. This historical location is worth putting on your bucket list.
