Summer Theatre in Saint Andrews

Actors pose onstage for production of the play Shipwrecked

You’ll be mesmerized and entertained by the Saint Andrews Summer Theatre. The professional company have taken up residence in the 120-seat W.C O’Neill Theatre, performing six days a week with two high-quality, entertaining productions.

Delightful Comedy Souvenir is the perfect memory of St. Andrews in the summer

Acclaimed soprano Sally Dribble excels in her role as Florence Foster Jenkins, star of the production Souvenir. As director Richard Beaune describes casting Dribble in the role, ““the actress playing the role has to be a great vocalist to sing badly, well.” The play tells the story of Jenkins and her quest to become a diva, despite her troubling handicap – she can’t carry a tune!  The production also features Toronto based actor and pianist Ostap Soroka. You don’t want to miss the live performance of this real-life story, currently being made into a feature film starring Meryl Streep.

This lighthearted and touching production plays six evenings a week until August 5th.
